We took a quiz on the triangle centers that we learned last week. It was open note. Then we reviewed square root simplification. This was in preparation for returning to the Pythagorean theorem. That theorem only applies for right triangles--the new information deals with Pythagorean inequalities, This allows us to figure out from the side lengths if the triangle will be acute, obtuse, or right angled. Some homework problems also dealt with using the Pythagorean theorem multiple times to find missing lengths. Here is an example of that :

Thursday/Friday
Went over the homework/Pythagorean inequalities some more. Quizzes were returned. Study guide for next test was handed out, and we spent class reviewing major concepts. Here is the blank study guide. Here are the solutions. This study guide and the graphic organizer with triangle centers may be used on Monday's test.
