Quiz on circles: parts of circles, arc measure, chord length, arc length, and sector area.
Homework: Watch and takes notes on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyJSNuULpAg
Passed back quizzes. Those who failed the quiz (below 70) can earn a passing grade by entirely re-working the quiz (#1-12, skip #3 on p. 771) and writing a short explanation of what they learned in re-doing it. This would be due on the next class.
Did exploration tasks involving inscribed angle measure and the angle measure of cyclical polygons, similar to the video above. Here is the worksheet. We worked through a few examples and reviewed sector area and arc length as well.

Looked at homework solutions. Discussed angles and circle relationships, for when the vertex is in, on, or outside the circle. Very handy chart on p. 785 in textbook. Worked through some examples. Also looked at segment relationships in triangles: chord-chord, secant-secant, and secant-tangent. Each has their own formula, although they are very closely related. Gave time to work on homework in class.
