Began review unit of algebra topics with a look at what algebra is all about and began solving quadratic equations using factoring.

Warm up was to use elimination to solve a linear system of equations. Solved another quadratic equation by factoring, this time with a leading coefficient that is not 1. Then looked at what to do when the factors of the constant term don't make the middle coefficient. This can be resolved by doing something called completing the square. Worked a few examples, and looked at the reason why it works geometrically as well as the application of it in Algebra II as it relates to circle equations. Ended with a look at how linear systems of equations (the hw video from Monday and the warm up) can be thought of as 2 lines and the solution as the coordinates of their intersection point. Worked through another systems problem.

Warm up was a word problem involving a system of linear equations. Went over homework then looked at a dot pattern problem involving an arithmetic sequence. Looked back at solving quadratic equations by factoring and completing the square, then took a detour to prove 0.99999....=1. Came back to typical algebraic math and reviewed absolute value equations and solving/graphing inequalities.
