Finished working on our transformation drawings involving dilations, reflections, and translations and Nintendo figures. Then, began our homework involving writing 2 math problems.
Homework: (due next class) Neatly write and solve two math problems related to similarity. The problems may ask to:
(1) Provide two similar figures and enough given side lengths and ask to find a missing length
(2) Determine if two given triangles are similar and explain why (which shortcut to use, if any)
(3) Find an unknown measurement of a real-world object by utilizing similar triangles (shadows, reflection in a mirror, parallel lines and surveying, etc.). These should be word problems with a figure provided.
Your 2 problems must be of 2 of these 3 varieties. Your provided solution does not need to show work.

Tuesday/Wednesday
Turned in our written problems involving similarity. Then worked on 3 different triangle/similarity tasks: an angle chase, the measures and self similarity within the golden triangle, and a modified version of last week's "two posts" problem. Then looked at the side-splitter triangle proportionality theorem, including an example.
