Went over homework; took practice assessment and discussed solutions in small groups. PRACTICE TEST SOLUTIONS HERE
Homework:
Study for assessment
continue working on project (due 11/23 B classes or 11/24 A classes)
fill out project update here: http://j.mp/geoprojup
Estimation warm up to start off class. Went over any questions on the practice assessment. Then took the real assessment. Began work on classifying quadrilaterals and demonstrating how you know a shape actually is a parallelogram or rectangle. Lecture notes will be posted here.
Homework:
p. 235: #1, 4-6, 10, 11 (Due Monday)
(CO-C11b)
Resources
see below
2A: learned about trapezoids and kites and their properties.
3A,4A, 1B, 3B: learned about squares and how to prove a shape is a square.
All: began origami activity with square paper and creating folds, finding all the angles, segment lengths as factors of sqrt(2), and fractional areas of the shapes created by the folds.
