Test on triangle properties and centers. No homework.
Tuesday/Wednesday
Starting new unit on Parallelograms and other quadrilaterals. Watched several animations and videos showing the useful ways they are used in the real world, including the pantograph. Worked on two exploration tasks, one on the coordinate plane and another measuring the diagonals in a parallelogram. Discovered that: opposite sides are congruent, opposite angles are congruent, consecutive angles are supplementary, and the diagonals bisect each other.
No homework.

Thursday/Friday
Briefly reviewed the properties we observed in the last exploration task. Completed a jigsaw activity with expert groups on four topics: Parallelograms, Rectangles, Rhombuses, and Squares. Then discussed each in our original groups. Then we completed a foldable study guide explaining the important properties of each. Here is the completed version if you were absent,.
Homework (Due Tues/Wed): p.395: #15-25, p412: #18-23
