Ninth and tenth graders had a retreat, so most classes did not meet or were sparse. Those attending completed fun Tangrams puzzles. Remember that homework assigned last Thurs/Fri is due next class.

Warm-up problem on rhombus properties and measurements. Went over homework, then did jigsaw activity rigorously proving 8 different properties observed about parallelograms, rectangles, and rhombuses.

Thursday/Friday
Warm up involved writing a paragraph about the relationship among the words quadrilateral, parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, and square. Went over homework, then made a graphic organizer considering the hierarchy of quadrilaterals.
