All classes except 3B:
Started class with trig homework solutions from textbook. Then answered any questions on it or practice assessment. Then took real assessment. Those who finished early started worksheet on coordinate geometry review. Here it is.
Homework (1B, 2A, 3A, 4A)
Start on #1-8 on coordinate geometry worksheet. Will work on it some more in class. (GPE-B1 and B2)
Only 3B:
Made up for lost time on trig by working on practice assessment. Reviewed special right triangles and simple trig ratios involving Pythagorean theorem. Learned about inverse trigonometry which is used to calculate angles in right triangles by using the ratios in reverse. See post from last week for more information including resources to help you out. Also posted there are the solutions to the practice assessment.
Homework (3B only)
p. 317 #6,7,8ab,12b (SRT-C7 and C8)
Resources
See last week's Tuesday post.
De-briefed the assessment with peer experts working through the problems as others corrected as needed. Be sure to re-assess if needed.Worked through 3-act trigonometry problem dealing with a boat and a bridge. Then did two trig examples. (See video here for similar exercises: link
Then worked on coordinate geometry review worksheet handed out on Monday in small structured groups. Will have short assessment on these review topics on Thursday.

1B: Same as Tuesday
3B: Went over trig homework; reviewed trig and inverse trig, and applying trig in real world contexts. Took assessment on trig and began coordinate geometry review.
Homework:

Thursday/Friday
All classes except 3B took coordinate geometry assessment. Then worked in small groups on volume problems dealing with various shapes in mathematical modeling scenarios. Then worked on a task involving gold, density, Indiana Jones, math modeling, and volume.
Homework:
- Finish remaining volume worksheet problems (Due Tuesday/Wednesday) [GMD-3]
- Complete micatime assignment if you didn't already [GPE-B1, B2]
- 3B Only: Complete Take Home Assessment (will be collected Monday)
FYI: go directly to library computer lab on Monday at start of class
